Hold Length: Travellettes (30cm) vs. Parallettes (55 cm)
skillworx Travellettes were developed as portable training tools for transport in a backpack or suitcase. You can easily unscrew the total of 4 bottom screws, take off the pedestals - and they are ready for travelling!
skillworx Parallettes were mainly developed for fixed use in your training room. The ergonomically designed hold length of 55 cm enables you to perform exercises on two hands on one parallette, which makes them perfectly suitable for GMB (Gold Medal Bodies) P1 and P2 as well as other parallette training programs.
Both hold lengths (Travellettes - 30 cm and Parallettes - 55 cm) are also available as separate sets, see the Parallettes & Travellettes overview.
Hold Height: Small (15cm) vs. Large (30cm)
Regarding most exercises on parallettes, it is true to say: The higher the easier - and vice versa. For example, if you do not have the necessary flexibility and / or strength to perform an L-sit with legs parallel to the floor in the beginning, additional hold height helps you to still perform the exercise.
When you are an advanced trainee, on the other hand, a lower hold height shows you your deficits very well - e.g. when you work on the handstand - L-sit transition and your toes are always touching the floor, this shows you that you should work more on your pike and pancake flexibility.
Both hold heights (Small - 15 cm and Large - 30 cm) are also available as separate sets, see the Parallettes & Travellettes overview.
Raw vs. Lucent Edition
No More Wobbling
Adapt your bars to uneven floors by turning the pedestals by up to 10° - this is possible due to the obtuse angle of 100° between hold and main pillars.
